Starting point  :  satowari village 

Day 1- satowari  village  to kareri village is 9 km . the trek goes through the pine forest and crosses several tribal villages on the way .

Day 2 – kareri village to kareri lake 3500 mtrs in 13 km . trail goes through mixed forests . first 2km is a level walk and then there is steep ascent along kareri nallah which has to be crossed over a number of times over improvised wooden bridges . night stay at the bank of kareri lake.

Day 3 – kareri lake to kareri village , same way back .

Day 4 -  kareri village to macleodganj via rawa village .
