Go for an adventurous trip to Ghoomakad mountain hut.
Ghoomakad is located in a village called Rakkar around 10 Kms from Dharamshala. You can hop onto a bus from Dharamshala bus stand and get down at Sidhbari. Ghoomakad is 2 kms walk from Sidhbari main road. Where people start from base camp and also experience wild life.
Truly life-changing experiences are hard to come by in today’s ever changing life. Visiting Ghoomakad and spending time with some amazing people there was truly a life changing experience.
Our one person is along with the group for first two days. The next three days the group is all alone with limited resources. In case of emergency you don’t need to panic at all our rescue team are always there for your protection or you can give us smoke signals also which we provided you. Group people will stay in mountain hut as well.
ITINERARY: DARAMSHALA - GHOOMAKAD HUT

- Day 1 –Starting from Ghoomakad base camp to Rakkar by Thatrna top to Jawala Devi temple Night stay at base camp Jawala Devi Retreat home. (3 & Half hours walk
- Day 2-Picnic at thatrna top and relax Day 3 Km from Jawala Devi Retreat home Night stay at Retreat home.
- Day 3-Starting from Jawala Devi retreat home to Hodi by Galayla Stone hags and Tickker rocks. Night stay at Hodi ka goath in Rock caves. (3 hours walk)
- Day 4-Starting from Hodi Ka goath to layash cave by Devi temple. Night stay at Layash cave
- Day 5-Starting from Layash cave to Jawala Devi Retreat home Night stay at Retreat home. (3 hours walk)
- Day 6-Starting from Jawala Devi Retreat home to Rakkar. (2 hours walk)
